Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia is part of the continent of Asia. In this area there are 10 countries, namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Southeast Asia's land area is approximately 2,257,784 million square km.

Astronomically, the Southeast Asia region is located between 11 degrees latitude - 21 degrees N latitude and 92 degrees east - 141 degree longitude. Judging from its geographical position, the Southeast Asia lies between the Pacific and Indian Ocean, and between the continent of Asia and Australia.

Boundary region of Southeast Asia are as follows:
- North of the State bordering China and the Pacific Ocean.
- Next to the western border with the State of India and Bangladesh.
- The south bordering the Indian Ocean and State of Australia.
- Next to the east by the State Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Ocean.

Southeast Asia region consists of mainland / continental and regional water / islands. Continental territory covers the following countries:


- Myanmar to the capital Rangoon.
- Thailand with the capital, Bangkok.
- The capital of Laos with Viantiane.
- Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh.
- Vietnam with the capital Hanoi.
- Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
- Brunei Darussalam with the capital Bandar Seri Begawan.

Waters / archipelago includes the following countries:
- Philippines capital Manila.
- Indonesia with the capital, Jakarta.
- Singapore to the capital city of Singapore.

Natural state region of Southeast Asia

South East Asia region has the form of earth are very varied, like mountains, hills, plains, and many valleys and rivers. Broadly speaking, the landscape of southeast Asia was divided into the landscape as follows:

Mountains
Southeast Asia lies in the Mediterranean mountain range that stretches from southern Europe and into Southeast Asia through the Arakan mountains in Myanmar and continues to Indonesia, with a barrage of Bukit Barisan mountains to the East Indonesia. From the north entrance a young mountain range Sirkum Pacific through the island of Borneo.

Lowland
Lowlands and river valleys are also color the face of the earth in the form of Southeast Asia. The landscape is useful for the economy in agriculture. Large rivers in Southeast Asia include the following:

- Mekong River through Laos and Cambodia. This river empties into the South China Sea in the country of Vietnam.
- River Menom in Thailand that has extensive and fertile delta.
- Salwen and the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar the delta as agriculture area.

Climate in South East Asia Region

Judging from the location latitude and physical environment which consists of the waters, the majority of the Southeast Asian region has a marine monsoon climate tropic with nature is always wet and warm. The climate in Southeast Asia always influenced by the monsoon, which every half-year change in the opposite direction resulting in the occurrence of two seasons, is as follows:

In the month of April-October monsoon winds blowing from Australia to the Asian mainland is called the southeast monsoon. Indonesia experienced the wind due to this dry season. But because in the north equator deflection to the right place then there is the southwest monsoon winds that are wet. These winds bring rain to the State of Myanmar, Thailand, Malay Peninsula, and western Indonesia.

In the month of October-April monsoon winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean (northeast monsoon) which bring a lot of rain in the northern hemisphere. Because in the south of the Equator occurred deflection to the left, then going northwest monsoon winds which resulted in the rainy season in Indonesia.
